Kat Von D: “”Hans Memling” oil painting by American-Baroque artist, @MICHAEL_HUSSAR
Hans Memling was a 14th century German-Flemish painter, who when wounded in battle was taken to a monastery and nursed back to health by nuns. Memling was so grateful for such kindness, that he dedicated much of the rest of his life, painting devotional pieces for these nuns to hang on their church walls. Because there are no known self-portraits of Memling, Hussar chose to depict him in absolute devotion. In drag.. As one of the nuns.” (http://instagram.com/p/uXE7BvlSe6/)
"Hollywood is great for entertaining people, it’s a wonderful business but it’s make-believe, you must remember that. That’s one of the most important things to remember and the distinction in your own life, otherwise people get lost in their own fame, and it makes them unhappy."
